Yakeel Quiroz, PhD

Dr. Quiroz is Assistant Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. She is the Director of the Mass General Familial Dementia Neuroimaging Lab, and the Multicultural Alzheimer’s Prevention Program-MAPP. She completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Boston University and her Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neuropsychology at MGH. Dr. Quiroz’s research interests include brain imaging, early detection paradigms and validation of preclinical biomarkers of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. She is the recipient of several awards, including an NIH Director’s Early Independence Award, the FABBS Foundation Early Career Impact Award, and the Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences Prize from the Alejandro Angel Escobar Foundation in Colombia.
