Paul Taghert, PhD

Washington University in St. Louis

P.H. Taghert has been a Professor of Neuroscience at Washington University for the past 34 years, Dr. Taghert has studied developmental nerve cell biology and the study of circadian neural circuits in the Drosophila brain. His group currently focuses on in vivo studies of the brain correlates of rest:activity rhythms, as well as other circadian outputs. Dr. Taghert trained in invertebrate neurobiology and circadian biology from his doctoral studies with Jim Truman at the University of Washington, and in Developmental Neurobiology during his postdoctoral work with Corey Goodman at Stanford University.
