Laryssa Huryn, MD

Dr. Huryn is an ophthalmic genetics specialist at the National Eye Institute at the National Institutes of Health. She earned her medical degree from the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences University at Buffalo, completed her ophthalmology residency at Upstate University followed by two fellowships: pediatric ophthalmology at Children’s National Medical Center, and ophthalmic genetics at the NIH. Dr. Huryn has an interest in neurodegenerative conditions and rare inherited eye disease. She is the director of the ophthalmic genetics clinical fellowship at the NEI and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
